Survivorship

After you have finished treatment, you enter a new phase of cancer care: survivorship.

Ellis Medicine is here to support survivors and help you have the highest quality of life possible after your cancer treatment. Caring for your emotional, mental and physical health is our top priority.

The most important aspect of survivorship is follow-up care. You need to see your doctors regularly to manage side effects and help prevent cancer from returning. We’ll help you create a plan for the healthiest possible lifestyle after treatment is over.

Your follow-up care plan may include:

• Annual physical exams
• Screenings to make sure cancer hasn’t come back
• Cancer and cancer treatment side effect management, such as physical therapy, nutrition counseling and emotional support
• Referrals to support groups and/or community resources
